About COMO Uma

COMO Uma immerses you in the culture of Bali while also providing luxury amenities, from the food to the spa to exquisite accommodation. Nestled among paddy fields and hills, all 46 rooms, suites and villas exude the charm of a traditional Indonesian village. Except the feel is quietly contemporary with landscaped courtyards to infinity-edged plunge pools. The resort occupies more than two hectares and is a 30-minute walk from Ubud centre, considered Bali’s cultural hub, or the resort offers a regular complimentary shuttle to the town centre.

Rooms at COMO Uma

The open, clean and simple heart of the resort comprises the lobby, 25m pool and bar. Uma Ubud has the atmosphere of a rural hillside home - narrow paths defined by tall, lushly planted walls lead between rooms and suites, each of which has its own tropical garden. Large windows and indigenous materials both inside and out enhance the natural landscape. There are a selection of rooms and villas to choose from, whether travelling solo, as a couple or as a larger group. The Ubud and Terrace Rooms range from 45 - 55sqm, with either a private conservatory or terrace to unwind on, whilst the Garden Villas and Pool Suites feature their own pools.

Wellness at COMO Uma

Bali is known for its calming spirit. At COMO Uma, guests can experience this with their Asian-inspired treatments at the resort’s Shambhala Retreat. There are few places in Bali as serene as this, where twisting wooden paths are flanked by koi carp ponds and lush green jungle. Relax to the sound of the breeze as you indulge in their extensive range of massages, therapies and facials.

The open-air yoga pavilion sits high in the Tjampuhan Valley, offering dramatic views of the river far below. Here, guests can take part in daily complimentary classes, or arrange private yoga sessions. Other facilities include four serene treatment rooms, a reflexology area, steam rooms, a gym and a 25m outdoor pool – each element evoking Bali’s peaceful, health-giving character.

Seasonality

Bali is located in the tropics and enjoys a balmy year-round climate.  Temperatures average a very pleasant 80°F (27°C) in the Ubud area and a little lower at around 71°F (22°C) in the central volcanic region around Kintamani.

Being tropical, Bali does have a monsoon season, approximately from October to March. The best time to visit (the high season) is May through to September. Between June and August, Bali usually enjoys a cooling breeze.
