The Legian

The Legian Seminyak is a chic, 5* oceanfront hotel surrounded by palm-dotted lawns and a terraced infinity pool that leads to a stunning beach. Its unique location, means you are just 9 miles from the Ngurah Rai International Airport, and only a five-minute stroll to the village with its hip collection of bars, cafés, restaurants, and shops.  Yet its secluded position means you can enjoy the resort’s serene beauty undisturbed. Recognised for its authentic Balinese service and its modern take on traditional Indonesian style, expect indigenous art and artisanal pieces scattered throughout.

Rooms at The Legian

Created by Indonesia’s most famous international designer, the late Java Ibrahim, The Legian offers 66 suites (Studio Suites, Deluxe Suites, Two Bedroom Suites, and Speciality Suites), and a Beach House with three bedrooms. The décor is subduedly Balinese throughout, with dark wood on white colour schemes, wickerwork sofas, and parquet flooring, as well as modern technologies and original artwork. All suites offer private balconies that overlook the Indian Ocean, huge televisions, Nespresso coffee makers, complimentary mini bars that are restocked every day, and Bose sound systems. There are separate bathtubs and showers in the spacious marble bathrooms, along with kimonos, slippers and complimentary toiletries.

The Club by The Legian is located at a discrete distance from the main resort, providing a private retreat with full access to all that The Legian Seminyak has to offer. Thirteen beautifully-appointed villas are set generously apart, each with its own walled garden and swimming pool, a chauffeured limousine and the discreet service of a private butler.

Food at The Legian

The restaurant’s daily menus are inspired by traditional French and Indonesian cooking methods using fresh and locally sourced ingredients from the nearby market. Expect vibrant, imaginative entrees such as pan-seared scallops in a pinot noir sauce, bamboo lobster on the grill, or indulge in their Rijsttafel, Indonesian set menu., featuring Rendang-style braised Wagyu shin shank and jackfruit stew with braised pork ribs. For those travelling with children, a separate menu is also available. Each morning, you will be treated to a delicious breakfast spread, with fresh juices, coffees, granola, cereals, fresh fruit, in addition to cooked options such as eggs benedict.
