However, it seems that those with big budgets tend to come at prime time, leaving the weeks just outside and these periods often quieter and at a lower-ish price. Skiing in January -after the Russian New Year- and March can be surprisingly quiet.
Courchevel has its airstrip and heliport to cater to private plane owners, the latter becoming the most popular method of transport for this area.
Superb skiing for all levels, Michelin-star restaurants and fabulous shopping make this the perfect upmarket ski experience.
High-end boutiques can be found dotted around the town ready for guests to peruse, and there’s an under-cover designer shopping mall too. Mountain biking, paragliding and helicopter rides offer a more adrenaline fuelled experience. For families, the indoor ice-skating rink is a popular choice.
