Blue Waters

Blue Waters Resort & Spa is a long-established luxury resort set within 17 acres of tropical gardens on Antigua’s north-western coastline. Overlooking the Caribbean Sea and a collection of secluded beaches and coves, it combines a traditional Caribbean feel with relaxed service, spacious accommodation and a good choice of facilities.

About
The resort has a distinctly traditional character, with low-rise buildings scattered amongst mature gardens leading down towards the sea. The atmosphere is relaxed rather than overly formal, with plenty of space around the beaches, gardens and swimming pools to find a quiet spot. Blue Waters is also conveniently positioned around 15 minutes from Antigua’s international airport, while remaining sufficiently secluded to feel removed from the busier parts of the island.
Rooms
Accommodation ranges from Hillside and Deluxe Beachfront Rooms to spacious suites and substantial private villas. Deluxe Beachfront Rooms sit just steps from the sand, while the Cove Suites occupy a particularly attractive clifftop position and have access to their own infinity pools. For families and larger groups, Pelican House, Turtle Cottage and Rock Cottage provide multi-bedroom accommodation with considerably more space and privacy, with some also featuring private swimming pools.
Dining
Dining is centred around a selection of relaxed restaurants and bars overlooking the gardens and Caribbean Sea. The Palm Restaurant is the main dining venue, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner in an open-air setting, while The Cove occupies a beautiful clifftop position and offers a more refined evening experience with Caribbean and French influences. The Reef provides casual lunches beside the pool, complemented by several bars for cocktails and sundowners.
Activity
There is plenty to do without the resort feeling overly activity-led. Complimentary non-motorised watersports include kayaking, sailing, windsurfing and snorkelling, while tennis, a fitness centre, yoga and organised activities are also available. The spa provides massages and beauty treatments for those looking to relax, and families have access to children’s activities and babysitting services. Further afield, sailing trips, deep-sea fishing, golf and excursions around Antigua can be arranged.
