Hermitage Bay

Hermitage Bay is an intimate luxury all-inclusive resort tucked into a secluded bay on Antigua’s west coast, surrounded by tropical gardens and forested hills overlooking the Caribbean Sea. With just 30 individual suites, a beautiful white-sand beach and a strong emphasis on privacy and personalised service, it offers a considerably quieter and more romantic experience than many of Antigua’s larger resorts.

About
Set within 140 acres of largely undeveloped tropical landscape, Hermitage Bay has been designed to blend naturally into its surroundings, with individual wooden suites scattered between the beachfront and hillside. The atmosphere is deliberately informal and unhurried, combining barefoot Caribbean style with a high level of service. Its all-inclusive concept covers dining and drinks alongside a selection of activities, while the small scale and secluded setting give the resort a genuinely private feel.
Rooms
Accommodation comprises just 30 spacious suites divided between the beachfront and surrounding hillside. Beachfront Suites sit steps from the sand with generous terraces and uninterrupted sea views, while the Hillside Pool Suites are positioned amongst the vegetation above the bay and feature private plunge pools with spectacular views across the Caribbean. Interiors use natural woods, neutral colours and traditional Caribbean influences, creating an elegant but deliberately unfussy style that suits the setting.
Dining
Dining is centred around fresh, seasonal cuisine with strong Caribbean influences, using produce from the resort’s own organic kitchen garden alongside ingredients sourced from local farmers and fishermen. Menus change regularly and are served in the open-air beachfront restaurant, with the emphasis on fresh seafood, local flavours and carefully prepared international dishes. Afternoon tea, cocktails and premium drinks are included, while private and romantic dining experiences can also be arranged.
Activity
Days at Hermitage Bay tend to be relaxed, although there is plenty available for those wanting to be active. Complimentary activities include kayaking, paddleboarding, snorkelling, sailing, yoga and Pilates, while boat trips, fishing and excursions around Antigua can also be arranged. The Garden Spa offers a range of treatments in a peaceful hillside setting, and guests can explore walking trails through the surrounding tropical landscape. Above all, Hermitage Bay is about slowing down, with the beach, private pools and tranquil setting forming a large part of its appeal.
