Spread across 120 hectares of lush tropical grounds, Constance Ephelia feels more like a collection of different areas than a conventional single resort. Its two beaches have distinct characters, with North Beach generally providing the better swimming conditions, while the mangroves, forested hills and marine park add plenty of variety to the surroundings. The resort’s size means bicycles and buggies are useful for getting around, but it also allows for an unusually extensive range of facilities without everything feeling concentrated in one place.

Rooms

Accommodation ranges from spacious Junior and Senior Suites to one, two and three-bedroom villas, making Ephelia particularly flexible for different types of traveller. Junior Suites are positioned closer to South Beach, while Senior Suites are located towards North Beach. Families and those wanting more privacy can choose from a variety of villas, many featuring private pools and generous indoor and outdoor living areas. At the top end, the larger Hillside and Presidential Villas provide significantly more space, privacy and impressive views across the surrounding landscape.

Dining

Dining is a real strength for a resort of this size, with five restaurants providing plenty of variety throughout a longer stay. Corossol is the main international buffet restaurant, while Helios offers Mediterranean-inspired cuisine beside South Beach and Adam & Eve specialises in Southeast Asian flavours in a relaxed setting. Cyann provides the resort’s more refined dining experience overlooking Port Launay, while Seselwa sits beside North Beach and focuses on fresh seafood and Creole-influenced dishes. Several bars around the resort provide further options for drinks and sundowners.

Activity

There is an excellent range of activities, from snorkelling, kayaking, paddleboarding and sailing within the marine park to tennis, squash, cycling and hiking through the surrounding grounds. One of Ephelia’s more unusual attractions is its zip-line course through the forest, while rock climbing and guided mangrove kayaking provide further ways to explore the landscape. The extensive Constance Spa offers treatments, pools, sauna and wellness facilities, while the children’s club and family-friendly activities make the resort especially strong for families. Its Mahé location also makes it easy to explore further afield, including Victoria, local markets, beaches and walking trails around the island.
