About

Inspired by the historic estancias of southern Argentina, EOLO combines simple Creole architecture with contemporary design and subtle references to the region’s indigenous heritage. Every space is oriented towards the surrounding landscape, with a central garden providing shelter from the Patagonian winds. Its secluded position makes EOLO both a peaceful retreat and an ideal base for discovering the wider region, including the Andes, surrounding lakes and the glaciers of Los Glaciares National Park.  

Rooms

EOLO has 17 individually decorated rooms divided between Superior, Premium and Corner categories. Each is designed around the surrounding scenery, with large windows overlooking the lake, steppe and mountains, while soft colours, simple lines and antique furnishings create an elegant estancia-inspired atmosphere. The rooms deliberately have no televisions, encouraging guests to focus on the ever-changing Patagonian landscape, and the highest-category Corner Rooms feature expansive double windows that bring even more of the scenery indoors.  

Dining

EOLO’s restaurant combines regional Patagonian ingredients with international culinary techniques under Executive Chef Juan Pablo Bonaveri. The cuisine draws on local flavours and the area’s European heritage, while meals are accompanied by dramatic views across the steppe. Breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea can all be enjoyed while taking in the landscape, and the bar provides a relaxed setting before or after dinner. Wines are sourced exclusively from Argentine wineries, showcasing the country’s diverse wine regions.  

Activity

The 4,000-hectare estate provides a remarkable setting for outdoor exploration, with horseback riding, trekking and mountain biking available directly from the lodge, alongside birdwatching and Argentine wine tastings. EOLO can also arrange excursions into the wider region, including visits towards Los Glaciares National Park and the Perito Moreno Glacier. For those who prefer a slower pace, the lodge’s panoramic position makes simply watching the changing light, mountains, steppe and Patagonian skies an experience in itself.
