About

Located approximately 20 kilometres from Punta del Este, Estancia VIK features white adobe walls, red roofs and landscaped courtyards designed by Uruguayan architect Marcelo Daglio. The interiors showcase an impressive collection of contemporary Uruguayan art, while extensive gardens, an organic herb garden and a striking black-stone swimming pool create a peaceful setting. The estate borders the José Ignacio River and lagoon, with the Atlantic coastline nearby.

Estancia VIK offers 12 individually designed suites, each featuring original artworks by contemporary Uruguayan artists, distinctive furnishings and elegant interiors. The spacious accommodation includes separate bathtubs and rain showers, alongside private access to the surrounding patios. The larger Master Suites offer additional living space and private outdoor showers, combining residential comfort with views across the tranquil countryside.

Dining

Dining at Estancia VIK celebrates traditional Uruguayan cuisine, with an emphasis on premium local beef, fresh seafood and seasonal produce. The signature dining experience, El Asador, showcases authentic open-fire barbecue in a distinctive setting decorated with contemporary artwork. Guests can dine in the atmospheric brick-vaulted dining room, beside the swimming pool or in the gardens, accompanied by wines from the Vik vineyard in Chile.

Estancia VIK offers a variety of experiences inspired by Uruguay’s countryside, including horseback riding across the pampas with local gauchos, kayaking, fishing, cycling and birdwatching.
