Rooms

The camp features eight spacious, tented rooms built on raised platforms with sweeping views over the floodplains. Each room is stylishly appointed with hardwood floors, a writing desk, a large en-suite bathroom, and both indoor and outdoor showers. Designed to maximise comfort while remaining open to the sights and sounds of the bush, the rooms offer a perfect blend of rustic charm and modern convenience.

Dining

Meals at Chitabe are served communally in the open-sided dining area, creating a convivial atmosphere for sharing stories of the day’s sightings. Cuisine is fresh and wholesome, with a focus on locally inspired dishes prepared with care. Private dining can be arranged on your deck or under the stars, adding to the camp’s romantic and relaxed ambience.

Activity

Chitabe offers expertly guided morning and afternoon game drives in open 4x4 vehicles, providing outstanding opportunities to see predators such as lion, leopard, cheetah, and wild dog, alongside elephant, buffalo, and a variety of antelope species. While water-based activities are limited due to its drier terrain, the area’s exceptional wildlife density more than compensates. Night drives and walking safaris (seasonally) round out a thrilling and educational safari experience.
