Chitabe Lediba

About

Located in the wildlife-rich Chitabe Concession, bordering the Moremi Game Reserve in the south-eastern Okavango Delta, Chitabe Lediba is the smaller sister camp to Chitabe, offering a more intimate atmosphere while sharing access to the same outstanding game-viewing area. The concession encompasses a unique mix of floodplains, open grasslands, riverine forests and mopane woodland, creating one of the Delta’s most diverse ecosystems and supporting exceptional year-round wildlife sightings, particularly of predators. Elevated on a wooded island overlooking a natural waterhole, the camp blends classic safari charm with understated luxury, delivering a relaxed and highly personalised experience.  

Rooms

Accommodation consists of just five spacious Meru-style safari tents, including two interconnecting family units, all raised on wooden decks to maximise privacy and views across the floodplains. Interiors combine traditional safari styling with contemporary comforts, featuring elegant furnishings, en-suite bathrooms, indoor and outdoor showers, and private verandas where guests can watch wildlife gathering at the nearby waterhole. The camp’s intimate size makes it particularly well suited to families and small groups seeking an exclusive safari experience.  

Dining

Dining at Chitabe Lediba embraces the traditions of classic safari life, with freshly prepared meals served in open-air dining areas overlooking the floodplains. Bush breakfasts, relaxed lunches and candlelit dinners beneath the stars create memorable moments throughout each day, while scenic sundowner stops during game drives offer the perfect opportunity to enjoy drinks as the African bush comes to life at sunset. Warm, personalised service and locally inspired cuisine complete the experience.  

Activities

The camp is renowned for some of the Okavango Delta’s best predator viewing, with excellent opportunities to encounter lions, leopards, cheetahs and endangered African wild dogs, alongside elephants, buffalo, giraffe and abundant plains game. Expert-guided day and night game drives take advantage of the private concession’s off-road driving privileges, while guided walking safaris provide a more immersive perspective on the landscape. The diversity of habitats and year-round wildlife make Chitabe Lediba one of Botswana’s most rewarding safari destinations.
