Comprising eight classic Meru-style tents, Ongava Tented Camp is designed to blend seamlessly with its natural surroundings. The camp’s thatched dining area, bar, and lounge overlook the active waterhole, providing guests with continuous wildlife viewing opportunities. Amenities include a swimming pool, a campfire viewing deck, and a curio shop. The camp operates with a focus on sustainability and conservation, offering guests an authentic and eco-friendly safari experience.
Rooms
Each of the eight spacious tents is elevated on wooden decks and features en-suite bathrooms with indoor and outdoor showers, as well as private verandas with views of the surrounding bush. The tents are furnished with comfortable beds, ceiling fans, and natural earth tones that harmonize with the environment. A family unit is available, consisting of two tents connected by a shared deck, accommodating up to four guests.
Dining
Dining at Ongava Tented Camp is a communal and immersive experience. Meals are served in the open-air thatched dining area, allowing guests to enjoy the surrounding views and wildlife sounds. The camp offers a variety of dishes, including continental and buffet breakfasts, lunch, dinner, and high tea, all prepared with fresh, locally sourced ingredients.
