Angama Mara
Angama Mara is a spectacular luxury safari lodge perched high above Kenya’s Maasai Mara on the edge of the Great Rift Valley escarpment, offering breathtaking panoramic views across the plains below. About
Drawing inspiration from Nairobi's iconic Muthaiga Club, our expansive bar, library, and relaxed seating area exude timeless elegance, romance, and allure. However, it's not merely about whisky decanters and tartan blankets—renowned South African stylist Annemarie Mentjies ensured a blend of sophistication and modernity. Amidst the gleaming glass walls and intricate brickwork, discover blood-red chairs, stylish French Fermob furniture and striking motifs. Completing the contemporary ambiance are a swimming pool and fitness room.
Rooms
The 30 canvas-and-glass tented suites (divided into two camps of 15) have been designed to make the most of the extraordinary views of the Maasai Mara from every angle, from the bed, the sitting area, the shower, and even the WC. The front of the tents features floor-to-ceiling glass, the roof and other three sides are canvas. The tented suites all include spacious decks for in-room dining and massage treatments. Angama Mara has two sets of interconnected family suites, and a tent with modifications such as grab rails and ramps.
Dining
Dining at Angama Mara is refined yet relaxed, with menus focused on fresh, seasonal ingredients and beautifully presented cuisine inspired by both local and international flavours. Meals can be enjoyed in the lodge’s stylish dining areas, outdoors overlooking the plains or as memorable bush breakfasts and picnic lunches during safari excursions. Sundowners on the escarpment are a particular highlight, offering spectacular sunset views across the Mara.
