Babylonstoren is one of the oldest cape dutch farms in South Africa. With an emphasis on sustainability and organic produce, and contemporary in style, the ever developing project only gets better and better.
From the award-winning restaurant and vineyard to the spa, every aspect of a stay here is led by the bountiful gardens filled with edible delights.
A botanical theme combined with moody interiors, incorporating swarthy four-poster king-size beds, dusted moss walls, luxurious en-suite marble bathrooms and generous walk-in cupboards. The room, which sleeps 2, is fitted with a cast-iron stove, accessories and furniture.
The Garden Cottages at Babylonstoren can accommodate between 2- 4 guests depending on whether you stay in the suite or larger cottages. All rooms come with a en-suite bathroom. The larger cottages provide a lounge, with a hearty fireplace, filled bookshelf, and modern kitchen and dining extension.
The cottages are newly built in the Cape Dutch style and adjoining vineyards and orchards. They can accommodate either 2-4 persons, again with a contemporary kitchen and dining extension added to the spacious lounge area.
Up to ten guests are accommodated in five individual bedrooms, each comprising a fireplace and spacious en-suite with marbled tile floors and freestanding baths. Leading off the spacious lounge is a contemporary glass cube with a fully equipped kitchen. At the heart of the house is the private central courtyard with a pool.
Here all rooms have a king-size bed, with two of the rooms having the option of twin beds. Breakfast is included in the room rate, as well as a well-stocked personalised larder. Guests have access to the garden at all times, with games set up on the private lawn. Curl up in front of the hearty fireplace or enjoy refreshments in the garden whilst savouring the views.
