Noka Camp

Noka Camp is a luxurious and exclusive safari lodge perched atop a dramatic 100-foot cliff overlooking the winding Palala River in the malaria-free Lapalala Wilderness Reserve of Limpopo Province. This camp offers spectacular vistas, expansive wilderness and an intimate encounter with the Big Five all from a secluded and elevated vantage point just a few hours’ drive or short flight from Johannesburg.

About
Managed by Lepogo Lodges as one of the reserve’s few luxury safari properties, Noka Camp is designed with a strong commitment to sustainability, low environmental impact and conservation; nearly all profits are reinvested back into the Lapalala wilderness and local community. The lodge’s architecture blends contemporary comfort with sensitive, minimal ground disturbance and off-grid solar power, emphasising both responsible tourism and immersive wilderness living.
Rooms
Accommodation comprises five expansive, privately located villas - four luxurious one-bedroom villas and one two-bedroom family villa - each crafted with modern luxury and panoramic views. All villas feature floor-to-ceiling glass walls, spacious indoor and outdoor living spaces, heated plunge pools, private decks, indoor/outdoor showers and sunken baths, creating a serene haven from which you can watch wildlife and sunsets over the bush below.
Dining
Dining at Noka Camp is refined and flexible, centred around fresh, locally sourced ingredients and elegantly prepared meals that reflect the flavours of Southern Africa. Food and drink are served in the main communal dining area or more intimate settings on terraces overlooking the valley, and can be paired with fine South African wines from the lodge’s own cellar; all delivered with attentive, personalised service that complements the relaxed yet sophisticated safari ambience.
Activity
Activities are tailored to immersive safari experiences and the remarkable natural features of Lapalala Wilderness: expert-led game drives explore the reserve’s abundant wildlife including lions, rhinos, cheetahs, elephants and pangolins; guided bush walks and river excursions reveal the bushveld’s intricate details; boat safaris, night drives, visits to Iron Age sites and San rock art add cultural depth; and stargazing, yoga and wellness sessions provide tranquil ways to enjoy the landscape.
