Serian Lamai is built around the philosophy of authentic, highly personalised safari experiences with a strong emphasis on guiding and flexibility. Serian Lamai is a permanent seasonal camp that operates during the migration months in the northern Serengeti, allowing guests to enjoy excellent proximity to the river crossings while retaining a classic East African safari atmosphere. The camp has a relaxed and adventurous feel, prioritising immersion in the landscape over excessive formality.

Rooms

Accommodation consists of spacious canvas tents furnished in elegant safari style, each featuring comfortable beds, en-suite bathrooms with hot safari showers and flush toilets, and private verandas overlooking the surrounding plains. Interiors combine natural textures, Persian rugs and handcrafted furnishings to create a warm, characterful atmosphere that feels both luxurious and deeply connected to the bush.

Dining

Dining at Serian Lamai is relaxed and sociable, with meals served in the open-sided mess tent or outdoors beneath the stars. The cuisine is fresh, hearty and thoughtfully prepared, complemented by sundowner drinks and fireside evenings where guests can share stories from the day’s wildlife encounters. Bush breakfasts and picnic lunches add further adventure and flexibility to the safari experience.

Activity

Activities focus on exceptional wildlife exploration through privately guided game drives in the northern Serengeti, where guests can witness dramatic Mara River crossings during migration season and excellent predator action throughout the year. Walking safaris and fly-camping experiences may also be arranged, offering a more immersive perspective on the wilderness.
