Part of The Royal Portfolio collection, La Residence seamlessly blends Cape Winelands heritage with bold, eclectic design. Rich fabrics, antique furnishings, original artwork and vibrant colour palettes give each space its own distinctive character, while the atmosphere remains warm, relaxed and highly personalised. Rooms

Accommodation comprises eleven individually designed suites within the main house, alongside five spacious Vineyard Suites set amongst the vines and the exclusive-use Franschhoek House. No two rooms are alike, each featuring bespoke interiors, luxurious marble bathrooms and sweeping views of the surrounding mountains, vineyards or gardens. The Vineyard Suites offer additional privacy with generous living spaces, private terraces and, in most cases, their own swimming pools, making them ideal for families or longer stays.  

Dining

Dining at La Residence celebrates the flavours of the Cape Winelands through seasonal menus crafted from fresh produce grown on the estate and sourced from local farms. Guests can enjoy elegant breakfasts, leisurely lunches, romantic dinners, vineyard picnics and bespoke Chef’s Table experiences, all complemented by outstanding local wines. Meals are served in beautiful indoor and outdoor settings overlooking the gardens and vineyards, making dining an integral part of the overall experience.  

Activity

Guests can spend their days relaxing beside the palm-fringed infinity pool, enjoying spa treatments, exploring the estate’s vineyards, gardens and orchards, or visiting nearby wineries for tastings and cellar tours. Franschhoek’s acclaimed restaurants, galleries and boutiques are just a few minutes away, while activities such as horse riding, cycling and hiking through the surrounding mountains can also be arranged.
