Set within the 29,866-hectare Phinda Private Game Reserve, &Beyond Phinda Vlei Lodge enjoys a secluded location overlooking a unique wetland ecosystem that attracts an abundance of wildlife throughout the year. The lodge’s sophisticated design draws inspiration from the classic colonial safari era, with rich textures, natural materials and expansive open spaces that frame panoramic views across the vlei. As an adults-only property, it offers a tranquil atmosphere ideal for couples, while the reserve itself is celebrated for its conservation success and remarkable diversity of habitats, ranging from woodland and grassland to forest and wetlands.

Accommodation comprises just six spacious thatched suites, each thoughtfully positioned to maximise privacy and uninterrupted views over the surrounding wetland. Interiors feature elegant safari-inspired décor, luxurious king-size beds, freestanding bathtubs and indoor and outdoor showers, creating a refined yet authentic atmosphere. Private plunge pools and shaded viewing decks provide the perfect setting to relax while watching wildlife gather on the plains below.
