Set within the 29,866-hectare Phinda Private Game Reserve, &Beyond Phinda Homestead offers a private and highly personalised safari experience in one of South Africa’s most diverse wilderness areas. Designed as a secluded home in the bush, the lodge combines elegant contemporary architecture with natural materials, handcrafted details and warm African-inspired interiors. The exclusive-use format allows guests to enjoy their own dedicated team, including a private guide, tracker, chef and butler, creating a tailored experience centred around relaxation, adventure and connection. Phinda’s remarkable conservation story, having been restored from farmland into a thriving wildlife reserve, forms an important part of the guest experience.

Activities

The Homestead offers access to some of South Africa’s most rewarding safari experiences, with twice-daily game drives exploring Phinda’s seven distinct ecosystems and rich wildlife population. Guests can encounter the Big Five, including rare sightings of cheetah, black rhino and leopard, while guided bush walks provide a closer understanding of the reserve’s landscapes and smaller species. Additional experiences include conservation activities, cultural visits with local Zulu communities and excursions beyond the reserve, including ocean safaris along the nearby coastline.
