Chitwa Chitwa

Named after an ageing giraffe bull that used to share this lakeside spot with the lodge’s original owners, Chitwa Chitwa has fostered a close, caring relationship with the bush since its beginnings.

About
Chitwa Chitwa has been in the Brink family for over 40 years and in 1991 was transformed into the private game lodge it is today. Demonstrating that that environmental awareness and high end luxury can co-exist, this fabulous lodge is innovative, stylish and personal, and features an eclectic fusion of African chic and contemporary European design in a naturally beautiful setting; next to one of the largest lakes in Sabi Sand and a popular watering hole for local wildlife.
Rooms
There are six individually decorated Chitwa Suites, and supreme attention has been taken to balance natural style with ultimate comfort. Each suite opens onto a private deck with its own private plunge pool, with views of the nearby lake, a popular drinking hole for a wealth of wildlife. Suites are spacious, and can accommodate up to 2 extra beds for children under 12. The Charlsy Suite in particular is a great solution for families or friends travelling together, consisting of two well appointed inter-leading en-suite rooms joined by a comfortable living area, and features a fabulously spacious common lake view deck with a swimming pool. All the Chitwa Chitwa Suites include a bath-tub, indoor and outdoor shower, fireplace, minibar, fan, hairdryer, tea coffee making facility and an iPod docking station.
Activities
Whether you’re on your private deck, in the chic lounge or enjoying the fantastic cuisine in the dining room or lake-side lapa, there are opportunities for spectacular game-spotting without even having to leave your seat.
