Kuro Tarangire

Kuro Tarangire has one of the best locations in Tarangire National Park, and with some of the best guides in Tanzania on site, they will bring you face to face with enormous herds of elephant, buffalo and the infamous tree climbing lions.

This is my favourite camp in Tarangire and it is no surprise it wins award after award. I particularly like how the camp blends into the setting, you really have to look twice to see it.
Rooms
There are six rooms at Kuro Tarangire, all with en-suite bathrooms featuring an eco-flush toilet and a bucket shower. Comfortable wooden beds dominate the rooms, decorated in a simple but elegant style. The rooms are a hybrid between a tented camp and a wooden thatch structure, executed perfectly. They are very spacious and well thought out; and include a private veranda to enjoy the view on. There is also a family tent which has two bedrooms en-suite bathrooms and an adjoining sitting area.
Facilities
Kuro Tarangire’s main area is a home away from home furnished in a simple but natural fashion, with wooden chairs and upholstered sofas with big soft cushions. The roof and walls are exposed thatch with big windows all around, making you feel very close to the nature. There is a dining area, but alternatively, you can dine outside on the wooded terrace.
Activities
Enjoy daily guided game drives, walking activities and sundowners. The other speciality available in Tarangire is the availability to night drive. Heading out after dinner shows you a completely different Africa to the one you see by day and should not be missed. Lesser-spotted animals like servals and aardwolves are seen regularly on a Tarangire night drive, making it a must for any safari enthusiast.
