Desert Rhino Camp

Desert Rhino Camp, located in Northern Damaraland, is home to the largest number of free-roaming black rhino on Earth. Working alongside the World Wildlife Fund, safaris here are by vehicle and foot – the latter being one of Africa’s finest wildlife experiences available.

I like how this camp hasn't changed since it was built. It stands the test of time giving it an iconic status. Know you're not guarenteed to see Rhino, but your chances are good.
About
Nestled amidst the natural beauty of the grasslands and distant mountains, the Deseet Rhino Camp boasts a communal lounge and dining room housed under a long canvas tent, elevated on a wooden deck. The front of the tent opens up, offering a captivating view of the surroundings. As you enter, a long family table invites you to indulge in delightful meals. The tent also features two lounge areas adorned with oversized leather couches, soft ottomans, and faded kelims, creating a comfortable and inviting atmosphere. After a fulfilling day of scouting for game, you can rejuvenate yourself in the plunge pool. Surrounding the pool, you'll find sun loungers and ample seating, providing a perfect spot to unwind and soak in the tranquil ambiance.
Rooms
The eight permanent tents strike a perfect balance between simplicity and style, appealing to both avid "glampers" and those who seek a refined camping experience. Each tent is generously spacious and equipped with an en-suite bathroom. Inside, you'll discover a writing desk, a king-sized bed, a leather armchair, and beautiful kelims adorning the wooden floor. Step onto the wooden deck and marvel at the expansive view, while a day-bed and armchairs beckon you to relax and absorb the serenity.
