About

Conceived by a landscape architect with simplicity and craftsmanship at its heart, The Aiyana blends minimalist design with local culture and ecology. The 30 spacious villas are carefully integrated into the surrounding vegetation, creating a secluded oasis where the pace is unhurried and service is discreet yet attentive. With its eco-conscious ethos and warm, personal hospitality, the resort feels like a hidden island sanctuary devoted to peace and well-being. ()

Rooms

The resort offers 30 individually crafted beachfront villas, including 26 one-bedroom options and four luxury two-bedroom villas (Ambassador, Royal, Presidential), some featuring private infinity pools. Villas are elegantly styled with high ceilings, neutral hues, indoor/outdoor showers, garden areas, and generous living spaces all designed to frame views of the ocean and garden. Larger residences include living rooms, sunken dining areas, and private gardens.

Dining

The culinary experience at The Aiyana is anchored in a ‘farm‑to‑table’ ethos, showcasing fresh seafood and local produce in a refined blend of Swahili, African, and international flavours. Guests dine at Neema Restaurant with a sea-view terrace, enjoy beach BBQs, or opt for private dinners under thatched umbrellas or in their garden—it’s all about choice, simplicity, and charm.

Activity

Days here are balanced between delightful relaxation and gentle exploration: snorkelling or diving on untouched reefs, kayaking, paddleboarding, forest and village cycling tours, sandbank picnics, and spa treatments at the Maji Spa. Guests return to the lodge feeling refreshed, peaceful, and deeply connected to Pemba’s natural rhythms.
